Karan Johar is often called a flag bearer of nepotism in Bollywood. The filmmaker has launched stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor and many others in Bollywood, and for this he has been facing heavy criticism. The Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham director recently wrote a special message on social media on the success of Gully Boy which stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, to which a user called him, “nepotism ki mulle.”

Soon after the comment, Karan made sure that he gave a hard hitting reply to the troll. So he wrote, “Chup kar aur picture dekh!!!!!”

Gully Boy features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The movie is about rapping, and how a boy from Mumbai becomes India’s rap sensation. The movie is director by Zoya Akhtar.
