It’s a known fact that Shahid Kapoor was a background dancer in the song Le Gayi Le Gayi (Dil Toh Pagal Hai) which is still remembered for Karisma Kapoor’s killer dance moves. However many don’t know that during the shoot of the same song Karisma had to give as much as 15 retakes just because of Shahid which eventually irked the actress at that time.
Walking down the memory lane, Shahid Kapoor at Famously Filmfare said, “There was one guy who was slightly offbeat. I swear, with really big hair on his head, that’s me. I remember I won’t call her Karisma because that time she was Karisma Kapoor, had to do 15 retakes because of me. And, once she turned back and said ye kaun hai? Kaun Hai Ye? And, I was like hiding myself and saying main nahi hoon, main nahi hoon. I had just joined Shyamak Davar and my hair used to settle down half a beat after I settled down. So, it was actually not my fault. It was just the length of my hair.”
Apart from the above song, Shahid was also a background dancer in Kahin aag lage lag jaaye” from ‘Taal’. On work front, Shahid will be next seen in Kabir Singh which also stars Kiara Advani. The film is the remake of South film Arjun Reddy.
