Thugs of Hindostan is without a doubt considered to be the biggest film of 2018. Made on the estimated budget of 300 crore, the makers have decided to hike the price of tickets, so as to justify the massive budget of the film.
The advance booking of the film, which opened on Saturday, is already hinting at houseful theaters with about 2 lakh tickets being sold on the first day itself, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.
And now what we have heard that the highest price one has to pay to watch the movie will be, the exact amount of which one can buy at least 120 Vada Pavs in Mumbai. Yes the highest amount of is Rs 2400 at a very posh theater, PVR Director’s Cut, in Delhi. The second highest price is at the same theater – Rs 2200. The next highest price of the films tickets is Rs 2000, at Select City Walk, in Delhi. Then the fourth highest is Rs 1800.
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, YRF’s e-mail to exhibitors reads, “Please ensure all cinemas increase rates charged for “SANJU” by a minimum of 10% for the extended 4day weekend. On weekdays, the rates must be dropped by 25% from weekend rate. Please e-mail us the rates charged by you at all your cinemas for “SANJU” and proposed rates of “THUGS OF HINDOSTAN” for the extended 4-days weekend and weekdays.”
While we do agree that such prices just for a movie ticket are a bit too much, we hope that the film can justify the same and make it a paisa vasool watch.
