Established by late Shashi Kapoor and his wife Jennifer, the iconic Prithvi theatre turns 40 this year. The theatre was founded on November 5, 1978, in memory of legend Prithviraj Kapoor. Known as a place of theatre artists and many Bollywood stalwarts, Prithvi theatre has witnessed solid performances of well-known dignitaries in the past.
Hence, on the occasion of the completion of 40 years of Prithvi theatre, The Prithvi Theatre Festival 2018 was opened yesterday. Many Bollywood celebs and veteran theatre artists like Shabana Azmi, Kalki Koechlin, Aahana Kumra, Imtiaz Ali, Jim Sarbh and others were spotted at the iconic place.
